Leiden University’s programmes are characterised by their focus on a specific discipline and a strong interaction between education and research. This applies both to the bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes.

New: minors
From September 2009, Leiden bachelor’s students can complete the electives for their particular programme, which may vary from 30 to 15 study points depending on the department, with a minor, electives (local, national, international) or an internship in the Netherlands or abroad. This allows students to add specific elements of their choice to their programme or to broaden the programme.

About the Honours Programme
